(UtopiaSilver.com) As a mother of two young boys I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off all day long. In the evenings by the time the boys get their bath and we’re all in bed you would safely assume I would go out like a light. Wrong. For a while once I lie down and try to drift off, my brain kicks into overdrive and sleep does not come for several hours later. My youngest son who is 6 months old wakes me up around 3 am for a feeding, then we are up at 6:45 am to start our day.  If I am in bed any later than 10 pm I am zapped the next day and often feel like death. I decided I needed to implement a nightly bedtime regimen that would help me drift off to sleep faster and stay asleep longer.  These tools are what I use to help me get the best night of sleep ever and I hope they bring you the night’s rest you desire as well.

  1. Epsom Salt Foot Soak or Bath– Epsom salt can be bought in bulk quantities online or you can find some at your local grocery store and it is very affordable. Epsom salt, or Magnesium Sulfate, is famous for relieving sore muscles and reducing inflammation. It also aids in many enzymatic functions, helping to regulate fluid retention in cells and facilitate the body’s use of calcium to transmit chemical signals throughout the nervous system. Simply soak your feet in a pot of warm water with 1-2 cups of Epsom salt or take a bath for at least 20 minutes for optimal magnesium absorption and relaxation. You can also include a few drops of lavender oil or juniper oil for additional relaxation.
